TCEA Announces New Area 10 Director Mindi Vandagriff

The primary focus of TCEA is on integrating technology into the PreK-12 environment and providing members with cutting-edge knowledge and resources through conferences, workshops, online and print publications, and collaborations with higher education and business.

TCEA recently announced Anna ISD’s Mindi Vandagriff, as the newest edition to their Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is comprised of 27 education leaders, including seven executive committee members. TCEA is divided into twenty areas across Texas so that the needs of its members can be more easily met. Vandagriff will serve as the Area 10 Director, which comprises the greater Dallas area. She began her duties helping to drive TCEA’s initiatives for the 2017-2018 fiscal year and assisting educators in her area on May 22.

“We are overjoyed to have Mindi joining the TCEA Board,” said TCEA Executive Director Lori Gracey. “She is an incredible educator and a huge proponent of technology in schools. We look forward to seeing what new ideas and vision her talent will bring to the organization.”

Vandagriff serves as Coordinator of Professional and Digital Learning at Anna ISD. She is a Google Educator and describes herself as a lifelong learner. You can learn more about her initiatives to integrate technology into the curriculum in Anna ISD at her website here.

Anna ISD Assistant Superintendent Sue Akins said, “TCEA's mission is dedicated to the improvement of teaching and learning through the use of computers and technology. Mindi Vandagriff lives by this mantra displaying everyday her love of instruction and digital learning. TCEA has already been utilizing her talents over the last several years during the annual TCEA conference. I am positive they could not have chosen a better representative. Anna ISD is very proud of Mindi's appointment and the fact she is on our team!”

Vandagriff has been a member of TCEA for the past 5 years, attending numerous conferences, workshops and area events and was even featured in their print publication, Tech Edge, for her innovative use of technology in the classroom.

"It is an honor and my privilege to serve as the TCEA Area 10 Director,” said Vandagriff. “I am excited to support my area and share my knowledge and resources of best practices in educational technology. I am proud to represent Anna ISD and the forward-thinking, innovative vision our district encompasses. It will be my goal to highlight and empower the educators at Anna ISD and show why we are a premier district in North Texas."
